The Brooklyn Historical Society was founded in 1970. Our mission is to research, preserve, and provide access to historical information about Brooklyn Township – yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Brooklyn Township is the historical precedent of modern day Brooklyn Center and Brooklyn Park. Brooklyn Historical Society material covers the prehistory, exploration, settlement, development, and activities of all its people.
The Brooklyn Historical Society is 501(c,3) non-profit all volunteer organization with offices and archival storage space containing artifacts, landowner maps, photographs, memorabilia and more.
