Bushels of Potatoes are being loaded into railroad boxcars for shipments to other markets.  The major hub of potato trading was in Osseo. Bill & Doris Gadow around 1925 in what was the Howe Store at about 69th & Brooklyn Blvd. today.  Do you see the little girl peering through the doorway?
The Smith School in 1919 at 89th & West Broadway.  The girl with the black belt is Alice Tessman.
1st Brooklyn Center School in about 1884, one of many one-room school houses in the area.
The Eidem Farm house in modern times but it still evokes the atmosphere of a century ago.  There are frequent tours of the house and farm buildings you can participate in every year.
In 1910, the fellow delivering milk is Arthur N. Anderson.  His milk source was the his father, Swan Anderson, whose farm was about 73rd & Dupont on about 170 acres in Section 26 & 26.  His son had an added 30 acres in 1914 on an adjoining parcel.
