Brooklyn Historical Society     "Current Events"
Brooklyn Township, Hennepin County, State of Minnesota; Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center
Civil War Volunteers from the area are being researched by several members.  They are studying who served, in what battles they saw action and other aspects of their military service to America.

The first two volumes of
"Patriots of Brooklyn" are now available for purchase Volume 1 (A-G) and Volume 2 (H-N), see details on our Patriots page!

The final book in the series,
Volume 3 (O-Z) is expected for release in the near future, completing the series!
Artifacts & Community Records are an important asset of any historical group.  We're able to help people that are researching their history in the area.  We provide access to census records, land ownership maps, cemetery and other historical information.  Our books like "The Brooklyn's" can be tremendous sources of community history.

Since
1970, the Brooklyn Historical Society has been a growing home for historical memorabilia and records.
In 2006, several generous donations helped us establish an Endowment Fund for the future benefit of the Brooklyn Historical Society.

Ring the bell loudly with a big thank you to the
Engdahl and Schreiber families for the initial funding of this important milestone. In your own estate planning, please keep us in mind!

Thank You!
