For Brooklyn Historical Society members that enjoy researching family or home town history, please call to set up a visit and explore the collection. Research information includes thousands of photographs, several early census records, biographies of hundreds Brooklyn Center and Brooklyn Park past and present residents, biographies of local Civil War veterans, dozens of oral histories, original birth and death record entries from @1900, early plot maps that feature the Twin Cities, key books on Minnesota and local history, several genealogical charts -- including the Bottineau family, and the history of historic houses.



Northwest Community Television has begun researching the histories of the nine communities it serves in the northwest metropolitan area of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Over the next three years, a nine-part documentary series will be produced which will include interviews of historians and community members, historic photographs, and living history reenactments.
