From the impressive lodge at the park entrance on 49th Avenue North and east of the 94W Freeway, the park stretches some 3 miles from the Camden Neighborhood of Minneapolis to the river area of Brooklyn Center. Bicylclists and walkers, runners to dogs and more are welcome there! Impressive views of the Mississippi, hiking / walking / bicycling trails, plenty of nature and play areas!

The HISTORY of the area and the NATURAL ASSETS of the park are revealed in impressive displays.  This is a park you should visit often!

Views from the park in September.  The Minneapolis Water Works across the river and almost a beach setting on the park side with the low water levels from a dry 2007 summer.  Agates?

An imposing picnic shelter that is a short walk north of the main complex, on the shores of the Mississippi River!

Nearby, another structure with a great wading pool and playground equipment and bicycle / walking trails abound!
