The Brooklyn Center and Brooklyn Park HALLS OF FAME are brought to the community by the Brooklyn Historical Society. The PURPOSE of the Halls of Fame Awards is to identify, recognize and record for history, persons (living or deceased, resident or non-resident) who have made significant and enduring contributions in the development of the two communities. |

Earl Simons, called a "giant amonst volunteers" for his efforts in so many ways and with so many groups (BC).
Lloyd Collings and Barbara Lord-Collings, a couple that teamed up to bring drama and theatre to the area (BP).
Dennis Palm for his 35 years in Recreation and Parks and his efforts to create Edinburgh Golf Course (BP).
Edwin Matthew Theisen (BC), for his mentoring to groups like CEAP, the Brooklyn Center Jaycees and St. Alphonsus Church.
Anthony "Tony" Kuefler (BC), for his community and national organizations, for CEAP, St. Alphonsus and other groups.
Jim Ebert (BP) for his work with the Brooklyn Park LIONS, Seniors groups and overall volunteerism.
Baldwin Hartkopf (BP), the first Mayor, in the State Legislature, the Township Clerk and much more.
Henry Dorff (BC), for his work as Village Clerk, Commssions, Council, the School District and many other civic organizations.
Evelyn Schmidt (BP), a prominent developer, land for the Edinburgh Golf Course, the North Hennepin Community College Foundation and more.
Eldon Tessman (BP), a pioneer family member (1870's) for his work on many important commissions and volunteering honors. |
